EU accuses Russia of “geopolitical TERRORISM”
European Council President Charles Michel has slated Russia for “geopolitical terrorism” in a speech to MEPs on Tuesday for invading Ukraine, claiming “international order, democracy, human dignity are also under attack”.
His broadside on the Kremlin’s special operation came after Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s address via videolink appealing for his country’s “symbolic, political and legitimate request” for bloc membership.
Michel admitted Ukraine’s bid to join the EU was “going to be difficult” to achieve.
