A Tulsa County jury finds Erin Taylor guilty of manslaughter, child endangerment and DUI.
Broken Arrow Police say she had her 7 year old daughter in the car and didn’t yield when she turned and crashed head-on into Curtis Price, Jr, who was on a motorcycle and he died.
Police say Taylor smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and watery eyes and did not perform well on her field sobriety tests.
They say at the hospital, Taylor refused to have her blood drawn and the hospital staff refused to do it, even after a judge ordered them and quoted the state law.
Police got a warrant and her blood was drawn.
The jury recommended she serve 8 years in prison for manslaughter and year each for the other two charges.
She’ll be sentenced next month.
