Shortly after 5:00 AM this morning, our officers responded to Baptist Health Hardin, located at 913 North Dixie, following multiple reports of a male subject armed with a firearm inside the emergency room.
An officer arrived on the scene within minutes and made contact with the armed suspect.
During the encounter, the officer discharged his firearm, striking the suspect.
The suspect has been airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital for further treatment. No other injuries were reported during the incident.
