Earthquake Kills Over 2,300 in Turkey and Syria
A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked southern Turkey killing what the New York Times recently reported to be 2,100 people. AFP Reported that the toll has risen to 2,300.
Turkey’s emergency services said at least 1,498 people had died in the 7.8-magnitude earthquake, with another 810 confirmed fatalities in neighbouring Syria, putting the total at 2,308.
Rescue workers were seen in footage pulling out a toddler and a man from rubble at a site.
In 2019, current senior US official Dana Stroul, bragged that most of Syria is “rubble” and that the US can “hold the line on preventing reconstruction.”
