On Wednesday morning, a driver was killed after colliding with a parked car in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
According to police, a 61-year-old man was driving a minivan southbound on Loomis Boulevard near 52nd Street when he collided with a parked vehicle, causing the van to flip.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and pronounced dead.
A male passenger, 59, was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.
There were no other injuries reported.
