Florida – Tampa police arrested a man for allegedly murdering two people in an ambush at a downtown apartment complex Saturday, according to a release.
Officers said they were called to an apartment building on Ray Charles Boulevard at about 1:15 p.m. Saturday after a man and woman were shot dead at the complex.
Investigators said the suspect, 64-year-old Robert Craig Webb, targeted the victims after he was informed that the victims made allegations against him.
According to police, these allegations angered Webb so much that he parked in the apartment complex’s garage, got into the residential building through the stairs, and waited for both victims in the hallway where he killed them.
Tampa police said shortly after the victims were killed, Webb turned himself in and gave officers the gun he used in the shooting.
He was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of armed burglary of a structure with assault or battery.
At this time, police have not released information on the previous allegations against Webb.
