(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Durant Drive. One individual has been taken into custody on scene.
On March 26, 2023 at approximately 9:00 a.m. officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 200 block of Durant Drive for reports of a shooting.
Upon arriving on scene, officers located an adult male with two gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley and is in stable condition.
The preliminary investigation revealed the incident followed a domestic disturbance between a mother and her adult son. During the disturbance, both individuals produced weapons.
This does not appear to be a random incident. There is not a danger to the public.
