49ers DL Keion White was shot in the ankle early this morning in downtown San Francisco. According to the team, White is in surgery now.
Statement from team: “Keion White was a victim of a shooting and sustained a bullet wound to his ankle this morning in San Francisco. He is currently undergoing surgery at a local hospital. We will provide further updates when appropriate.”
White joined the 49ers in a trade with the New England Patriots in October 2025. San Francisco received White and a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
They don’t believe White was involved — but he was shot in the crossfire.
