Disney creates metaverse tech for theme parks which tracks users and keeps people socially distanced

Disney patented “virtual-world simulator” technology which has the ability to project 3D images onto physical spaces within the company’s parks.

Instead of being designed for mass entertainment, the tech would track individuals and project certain images in separate locations to keep people apart and Covid safe.

For example, while one family may be wearing headsets and seeing Mickey Mouse, another would be socially distanced and interacting with a virtual Cinderella.
