Volusia sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found shot overnight in the DeLand area.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Chipola Avenue, DeLand, when the shooting was reported around 1:55 a.m. Sunday.
The victim was found lying in the road. A DeLand police officer who was first to arrive attempted CPR, but the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased on scene.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Korey Woulard, who was living in the DeLand area with no permanent address.
