The investigation at Magical Carwash in Orlando has been confirmed to be related to a carjacking incident that occurred in the Orange County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.
According to the latest update from OCSO, no one was shot during the incident and the suspect identified as Yandel Eliel Ortiz, 19, has been taken into custody.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported seeing an SUV with a shattered windshield, parked in between two deputy cruisers.
The area around the car wash, located on Bloomfield Drive just north of the 408, was cordoned off by law enforcement officials.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
