Tulsa County deputies arrest a man accused of abusing his 69 year old mother.
The affidavit for Joshua Boyd says he is 39 years old, 6’1″ and 180 pounds and his mother is 69 years old, 5’6″ and 140 pounds.
It says the deputy saw bruises on the woman’s arm along with bruising and swelling on her face.
It says she told the deputy her son has a short temper and the abuse has been happening during the past 2 months, where he hits her and shoves her.
She told the deputy her son demands she respect him and he’s always asking for money and she’s afraid to say no, even though she only gets $1,435/month from Social Security.
Boyd is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
Records show he has the following convictions:
TULSA COUNTY:
2019: convicted of a having a gun as a felon and sentenced to 5 years in prison (7 total with 5 in prison and 2 suspended).
Broke the rules and the suspended sentence later revoked.
2017: grand larceny & destruction of property; 4 years in prison
2005: stolen vehicle and escape, 2 years deferred sentence.
Broke rules and sentenced to 1 year in prison.
OSAGE COUNTY:
2017: stolen car and drugs; 6 months in prison (6 years total, but, all suspended except for 6 months in prison)
CREEK COUNTY:
2018: eluding, 1 year in prison
2010: making drugs; 90 days in prison (10 total but all suspended except for 90 days)
