A federal jury has convicted a 23 year old Depew man of using Snapchat to entice a minor to have sex.
Johnny Summers was found guilty of coercion and enticement of a minor, sexual abuse of a minor and abusive sexual contact with a minor.
Federal prosecutors say the teenage girl testified at the trial as did two previous child victims of Summers.
Prosecutors say Summers coerced a 14-year-old to engage in sexual activity with him from February 2021 to January 2022.
Summers sent thousands of sexually inappropriate messages to the victim on Snapchat and solicited nude pictures of her and sent her, nude pictures of himself.
He regularly isolated her in a bathroom and touched her sexually and then, ended up trying to have sex with her.
Two previous victims testified he had solicited nude pictures of them over Snapchat and Facebook messenger when they were underage as well.
He’ll be sentenced later.
