The DEA says our streets in the U.S., including OK, are being flooded with fentanyl-laced pills.
They say the fake pills caused 75% of the 93,000 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2020.
The DEA says the 1.8 million fentanyl-laced pills they’ve seized in the past two months, could potentially kill more than 700,000 Americans.
Agents also seized 712 kilos of fentanyl powder: enough to make tens of millions of lethal pills.
The pills are being made look very similar to real Oxycodone or Percocet or other prescription pain killers on the market.
The top two pills pictured are legitimate.
The bottom two pictured are the illegal fakes.
