RawNews1st – Police have new information in the case we told you about last week concerning the arrest of David Menna, who has now been charged with sexual exploitation of a vulnerable adult and impersonating a medial provider.
The affidavit says Menna had been helping a Bixby family for the past year take care of a loved one who has a debilitating disease and can’t speak.
It says the family keeps a camera in the living room where the victim sleeps so they can check on him, from anywhere.
It says when the family was out of town, they noticed the camera had been pointed in a different direction and asked Menna why and he said it was because he was changing the victim and didn’t want people on the cloud to see it.
It says when a hospice worker went to the house to care for the victim, he noticed something was wrong and contacted the family.
It says when the worker went to lift the victim, the victim grabbed the worker’s arms very hard and when the worker asked the victim if he was okay, the victim shook his head no.
It says Menna admitted to the family he had touched the victim but said the reasons were not sexual.
Bixby Police are asking anyone who has had dealings with Menna to please come forward.
As we reported last week, USA TODAY did a story about Menna a couple of years ago, after people accused him of sexual abuse from more than a decade ago.
Records show Menna was charged in Osage County in 2007 with lewd molestation and practicing without a medical license.
The molestation charges were dropped and he pleaded guilty to practicing without a license and received a 2 year deferred sentence.
