Credit Suisse fined $9 million for violating multiple US laws and rules protecting investors
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority said the Swiss bank put out more than 20,000 research reports between the years 2006 to 2017 which held inaccurate disclosures over potential conflicts.
FINRA accused Credit Suisse of failing to maintain possession of billions of dollars worth of customers’ margin securities.
The news comes as the Swiss bank lurches from one high-profile scandal to the next – with their chairman Antonio Horta-Osario resigning earlier this week after an internal probe found him guilty of committing multiple breaches of Covid quarantine requirements
