A couple has been charged with child neglect after a 2 year old in their care, tested positive for fentanyl.
The affidavit for Collin Henderson and Jessica Durbin says she’s the mother of both children and he’s the father of the baby.
It says the kids are 2 and 11 months old and while with a babysitter, the 2 year old tripped and fell and stopped breathing, so the babysitter took the child to the hospital and mentioned a concern for drug exposure and requested a urine test, that came back positive for fentanyl.
It says both Henderson and Durbin admitted using fentanyl with the children at home and said Durbin had overdosed and EMSA had to come and use Narcan to revive her in front of the children and she had overdosed the very next day, but, didn’t need medical care for that one.
It says Henderson was selling fentanyl and marijuana laced with fentanyl.
It says one neighbor had reported Durbin dropped off her kids to be babysat and when she returned, she was drooling and her eyes were rolling back and the neighbor would see Henderson passed out in his truck and impossible to rouse.
It says Durbin told DHS her addiction relapsed in April of this year, after she stopped using during the previous DHS investigation.
Both are charged with child neglect and Henderson is also charged with drug trafficking.
These are charges, not convictions.
