Couple accused of bringing their dead 5-month-old baby to hospital
A couple in Mississippi is accused of bringing their dead 5-month-old baby to the hospital, according to authorities.
Police were first called to the hospital at 12:51 p.m., of reports of a suspicious death.
Authorities were then told by staff members that 20-year-old Summer Rose Hill and 21-year-old Takavian Keivon Gibbs arrived at the emergency room with their dead 5-month-old child, WLOX reported.
During an examination, medical staff found several injuries consistent with abuse.
The couple was arrested and charged with child abuse.
Both bonds were set at $500,000.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be on the way.
