A former FAU football player was arrested on multiple drug and weapon charges this week, Port St. Lucie police said.
Cortez Ash, 29, was arrested Wednesday by Special Investigation Detectives and the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Police say they found 132.2 pounds of marijuana, several guns including an AK-47 and more than $25,000 in cash while serving warrant on Ash.
Ash was charged with trafficking marijuana in excess of 25 pounds, possession of drug equipment, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and resisting an officer without violence.

He’s in custody at the St. Lucie County Jail on a $101,500 bond.
Ash had previously been arrested in 2011 when he and another suspect reportedly stealing copper wire from a scrap yard in Indian River County and then trying to sell it back to the same scrap yard, the Sun Sentinel reported.
