CNN to fire “good number” of “talent/staff” in major shakeup
News Cycle Media’s Jon Nicosia has claimed CNN will be going back to a “100% news channel, and a good number of “talent/staff” will head out the door to align with that mission.
Discovery Inc. boss David Zaslav will assume stewardship of CNN after the merger with WarnerMedia is complete.
“I’m going to be very hands-on” Zaslav emphasized before adding he will be moving to LA to manage the running of the troubled news network. As to the future of news and sports chief Jeff Zucker, who oversees CNN… Zaslav said he could not comment.
