A Cleveland Police officer was shot in the arm Tuesday evening, confirmed Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Association Jeff Follmer.

According to Cleveland Police, they are in the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue investigating the incident. The officer is conscious and talking at this time and he was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, police confirmed.
Additional officers are injured and were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after being involved in a crash while responding to the scene of the officer being shot, Cleveland Police confirmed. Their condition is unknown.
