Chinese Spy “Active” In UK Parliament – MI5 Warns
MI5 has warned UK politicians that an agent of the Chinese govt has been actively influencing MPs – but it appears the person will NOT be deported or have any action taken against them.
The Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle notified MPs via email that lawyer Christine Lee had “facilitated financial donations” to some members involved in “political interference activities.”
MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith asked Hoyle: “How can it be that an agent of a foreign despotic and despicable power… put somebody into Parliament – this mother of Parliaments – and then that individual have nothing done to them?”
