COVID SURGE: China’s battles biggest Delta wave since summer
Over 10k students have been locked down in the north-eastern town of Zhuanghe near Dalian, a city of 7.45mn people that has seen 230 cases since 4 November.
Road closures and mass testing campaigns have been installed after two hotspots were detected – the other linked to frozen food companies.
China has recorded 1,308 locally transmitted symptomatic cases in the last month, slightly up from the 1,280 such cases during the summer’s Delta wave.
