Chicago police arrested four 15-year-olds in connection with an armed carjacking

On Wednesday evening, Chicago police arrested four 15-year-olds in connection with an armed carjacking in Jeffery Manor.

Two boys and two girls held a 25-year-old man at gunpoint in the 2400 block of East 97th Street.

The group was apprehended at 8:45 p.m., just moments after the carjacking, according to police.

The four teenagers face aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm charges. One of the girls faces aggravated unlawful use of a weapon charges.

One of the boys was charged with having a controlled substance in his possession.
