The GCSO says deputies were called to County Line Road around 5 a.m. on reports that Jonathan Perry, 42, of Chesnee, dragged a woman from her home and forced her to go with him into Williamsburg County.
Sheriff Carter Weaver has announced the arrest of a man on kidnapping and other charges today.
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on County Line Road after receiving a report that Jonathan Perry, 42, of Chesnee dragged a woman from her home and forced her to accompany him into Williamsburg County around 5 a.m.
Deputies with Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office located the subjects in a swamp area near County Line Road and Thurgood Marshall Highway.
Perry was taken into custody without incident and charged with Kidnapping, Possession Of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Malicious Injury to Personal Property. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
Perry is being held at Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
According to deputies, authorities were able to find Perry with the woman in a swamp area near County Line Rd. and Thurgood Marshall Highway. Deputies say the woman did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
