Sheriff Brian C. Hill announces a 14-year-old male, two 15-year-old males, a 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old female are in custody and facing multiple charges, including criminal possession of a firearm and conspiracy, following an aggravated burglary in the 6600 block of SW Shadyvale Lane.
Shortly before 1:30pm, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 6600 block of SW Shadyvale Lane to take a report of a past burglary.
The victim provided home security videos that showed four male subjects entering the residence on July 8, 2022. Five firearms were stolen from the residence.
The Sheriff’s Office posted an Attempt To Identify on social media with the security videos. Numerous tips were received. Detectives followed up and four juveniles were arrested.
On Friday, July 15, 2022, Brian E. Solis (15), Kaden C. Horn (15), Garrett E. Kuntz (17), Josiah L. Frost (14) and Raegan L. Morrison (14) were arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Juvenile Department of Corrections.
All these individuals were charged with aggravated burglary, conspiracy, theft of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm.
The fourth male involved in the burglary has been identified as John X. Lopez (15) of Topeka.
