The victim was shot, then robbed, as the offender is heard saying “Give me yo f* money!” And seen going into his pockets before fleeing the scene on foot.

you can hear the victim screaming for help, and moaning in pain after he was shot. He was later pronounced 0-1-1-0 (Deceased) at the hospital.

The employee, identified as Ntando Sogoni from South Africa, had recently started working on Norwegian Encore, a ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line,.

According to AP News, which cited an affidavit from FBI Special Agent Matthew Judy, the ship disembarked from Seattle on Sunday and was scheduled to stop in Alaskan ports, including Junea, during the weeklong voyage.

Sogoni, 35, was on duty on Monday when he began to exhibit “unusual and irrational behaviour,” a spokesperson for the Norwegian Cruise Line told Business Insider.

He allegedly tried to deploy a lifeboat from the ship, according to a press release issued by the district attorney’s office.

According to the FBI, Sogoni was taken to the ship’s medical center for examination, where he then “physically attacked” a security guard and a nurse before using a pair of scissors to stab a passenger who was being examined.

Sogoni allegedly stabbed the passenger several times in her arm, hand, and face.

A security guard who intervened was stabbed in the head, while a second security guard was stabbed in the back and shoulders, authorities said.

The conditions of the passenger and staff are unknown, though AP News reported that none of the injuries were life-threatening.

The ship was traveling west of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, when the alleged incident took place, the publication added.

Games will be played in November under the umbrella of an event dubbed the “Players Era Festival,” which will also include live music and other attractions for fans amid the glitz of the Las Vegas Strip during Thanksgiving week.

In a college sports first, the event will also include $1 million NIL payouts for eight participating schools. What’s more, players involved will have future earnings opportunities through long-term NIL contracts, sources told CBS Sports.

Alabama, Houston, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State and Texas A&M are all on board, sources said.

The eighth and final school for the 2024 event will emerge from a small group that is still being deliberated.

The Players Era Festival is not being pitched as a one-year happening, either. Plans are to double the size of the field, sources told CBS Sports, with 16 teams as the target for 2025 and beyond. 

Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan, Syracuse and Virginia have all engaged in discussions about potentially playing in 2025.

If they opt in, they’d be joined by most (if not eventually all) of the schools playing in 2024, many of which have already signed up for a three-year agreement, according to sources.

KPD releases bodycam of William McBride Jr. deadly police shooting at Fountain City gas station.

An officer told Beeler he was going to get “crime scene stuff” while McBride was being searched.

KPD said both knives were recovered from the gas station, and a still frame from the bodycam video showed they had been dropped near the SUV’s tire.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting, and KPD said its Office of Professional Standards is also conducting an internal, administrative investigation to tell if Beeler followed KPD’s procedures and policies.

KPD said District Attorney General Charme Allen’s office will make a determination on the shooting once the TBI finishes its investigation.

KPD said there was additional body camera video taken of officers providing medical assistance to McBride, but said that video was not included Wednesday and won’t be released until after the TBI finishes its investigation and the DA makes a determination.

McBride was 41 years old and was declared dead after being taken to a hospital. His family said he had graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor of science in social work.

His family also described him as a military veteran who struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder since returning from overseas and said he turned to drug use to cope with his PTSD.

Attorney general releases bodycam video of deadly NYPD shooting of 19-year-old armed with scissors.

Police responded to a 911 call at 103rd Street and 101st Avenue and came across Rozario holding a pair of scissors.

Two officers fired their guns at Rozario. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A man wielding scissors was shot and killed by police in the Ozone Park section of Queens on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were responding to a home on 103rd Street after a mother called about her 19-year-old son acting erratically.

When officers arrived, they were confronted by the man who was wielding scissors.

NYPD officials say the officers attempted to take the man into custody and get him help, but instead, he pulled a pair of scissors out of a drawer and charged at the officers.

The officers initially fired their tasers at the man, in the living room kitchen of his second-floor home, but as his mother rushed to his aid, officials say “she accidentally knocked the tasers out of his body,” rendering them ineffective.

The suspect then picked up the scissors and came at the officers again, forcing them to open fire.

“It was chaotic, fast moving, and they had to defend themselves,” NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell said.
