MASK OR MURDER? Cashier Shot Dead by Customer Over Mask Request in Germany
A customer at a service station in the Rheinland-Palatinate was furious after an employee refused to sell him beer because he did not wear a mask covering his nose and mouth, Chief Prosecutor Kai Furman said in a press release.
The 49-year-old entered on Saturday night without a mask and tried to buy 12 beers from an Aral gas station. The 20-year-old cashier pointed out the requirement to wear a mask.
The alleged perp returned an hour later wearing a mask and tried to buy beer again. At one point he pulled his mask down the cashier then again advised him to comply with the requirement to wear masks, during which the customer shot him.
