Case High School went into lockdown after shooting happened, police say

Case High School went into lockdown Wednesday afternoon when a shooting was reported at or near a hotel across the street.
Photos posted to social media Wednesday afternoon show police tape and a law enforcement response to Delta Hotels by Marriott, 7111 Washington Ave. The hotel is located on the east side of Oakes Road; Case High is on the west side.
Police were seen in the parking lot of the hotel searching for evidence.
In an email at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, Racine Unified School District spokesperson Stacy Tapp said “Yes, we are currently in lockdown. Parents have been notified.
