Camera found in Danville Wal-Mart, police say

RawNews1st – A media inquiry Monday led to the discovery of a hidden camera inside Walmart, on 515 Mount Cross Road.
A member of the media got an anonymous tip that the store’s management found the camera, but wouldn’t notify police. Danville Police Department had not received any reports of this before.
An officer contacted Walmart and discovered a camera had been seized by a store manager on September 24. It was found in a family restroom. The manager did NOT inform Danville Police.
A preliminary analysis of the camera showed only one recording—and it didn’t capture any personal or private footage. The person in the recording could not be identified.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police say Walmart is fully cooperating with the probe and working closely with them. If anyone has information, call Danville Crime stoppers at 434-793-0000.
