Build Back Better… Again? Biden Could Reboot Stalled Agenda
President Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ agenda could be renamed and relaunched, according to WH spox. Jen Psaki.
The ‘Build Back Better Act’ was hailed by Biden as the key bill in his reform plan of the same name. With a price tag of at least $2 trillion, it promised to dramatically expand America’s welfare system and invest heavily in green energy, among other things.
However, Democrat Senators Joe Manchin (West Virginia) and Kyrsten Sinema (Arizona) denied the Democratic party the votes necessary to pass the bill, with Manchin declaring it “dead” last week.
Renamed or not, Biden said last month that he intends to pass some provisions of the bill in “chunks.”
