Brazil senators ask high court to suspend Bolsonaro from social media – vote on Covid handling (AFP)

A committee has recommended Jair Bolsonaro face charges, including “crimes against humanity,” as senators call for the president to be banned from social media. They claim he peddled coronavirus misinformation online.

It comes on the back of a six-month inquiry into alleged corruption, and a YouTube ban against the leader.

Bolsonaro responded saying he is “guilty of nothing.”
