Bradenton SWAT team deployed to 20th Street East; subject in custody

A Bradenton man is in custody after barricading himself inside a home for two hours with a 1-year-old child, police said.
Bradenton Police responded to a 911 call involving a domestic incident at a home in the 1100 block of 20th St. East at about 6 a.m, police spokeswoman Meredith Frameli said.
When a 31-year-old man in the house showed officer a weapon, they retreated and called the department’s SWAT team to respond.
Several other people inside the home managed to get out, but the suspect and a 1-year-old child remained, Frameli said.
After two hours of negotiation, the suspect, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, surrendered, Frameli said.
No one was injured in the incident.
