RawNews1st – About 2:55pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, Officers assigned to C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a report of a kidnapping at Geneva Ave. and Leroy St. in Dorchester.
While responding to the scene, officers received information that the victim’s truck was stolen, and their infant child was still inside the truck.
The stolen truck fled on Geneva Ave. towards Bowdoin St. operated by the suspect.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set, light skinned Hispanic male, last seen wearing a grey shirt/grey pants with long hair and a beard.
Officers located the infant’s parents who reported while parked at 430 Geneva Ave., they exited the truck to tend to their two-year-old.
The suspect entered their truck and fled towards Bowdoin St. with the infant inside the truck. Moments later, the suspect returned to 430 Geneva Ave. and placed the infant, who was still in the car seat, on the sidewalk.
The suspect then fled in the stolen truck toward Bowdoin St. The infant was reunited with the parents and Boston EMS responded to evaluate the infant.
About an hour later, Officers located the stolen truck at 156 Columbia Rd.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Detectives from District C-11 at (617) 343-4335.
