Murtadah Mohammad, 25, allegedly admitted to using power cords and hot water on the boy, who was found unconscious and not breathing at a Manchester home. WMUR reported that the victim had burns on 15 to 20 percent of his body in addition to 30 loop marks.
An analysis of the faucet water in the home determined that the highest temperature it could reach is 153 degrees.
“It looks as if it’s from boiling water or oil, or just straight, just, maybe set on fire,” the boy’s mother told WBTS. “His tooth was kicked out, he has blunt force trauma to the head. This man was trying to kill my child.”
She told the news station that Mohammed got joint custody of their son a few months earlier.
She also alleged that she reported possible abuse to the state Department of Children, Youth, and Families but no action was taken.
