Bomb Threat Received at CPD Headquarters
At approximately noon, a bomb threat was communicated to the Carmel Police Department headquarters at 3 Civic Square.
As a precautionary measure, all CPD employees and construction crews on site were evacuated from the building and surrounding area.
A sweep of the building was conducted and no suspicious articles were located. Once the building was deemed safe, all employees were allowed to return to work.
The Carmel Police Department has opened a criminal investigation into this incident and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons involved in making this threat.
