A body was pulled from the southern branch of the Chicago River in the Loop this morning.
The Chicago Police Department Marine Unit recovered the body of an adult man from the water near the 400 block of Adams Street around 8 a.m.Â
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives launched a death investigation as they await the autopsy results.
