WOODLAWN, Md — Official Baltimore County Police released 3 body cameras of critical fatal incident that occurred on May 8 around 6:40 a.m., numerous calls for service were received in the 7500 block of Maury Road. Callers stated that a subject was shooting at people in the neighborhood; some callers also stated a structure in the neighborhood was on fire.
As the first responding officer arrived on the scene he encountered 56-year-old Everton Brown in the parking lot. The officer ordered Brown to drop his handgun numerous times, when Mr. Brown did not comply with the officer’s orders, the officer fired his service weapon at Brown.
Additional officers arrived on the scene and provided backup. Four officers fired at Brown until they were able to safely take him into custody. Officers recovered a handgun next to Brown and a large knife on the hood of one of his vehicles. The handgun was registered to Brown.
Once Brown was in custody, officers located three victims in the parking lot; another victim was found inside a residence suffering from stab and gunshot wounds. 41-year-old Ismael Quintanilla was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Brown was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation indicates Brown forced his way into a neighboring house where he stabbed and shot Ismael Quintanilla. As Sara Alacote ran from the home, in an attempt to escape, Brown chased her outside shooting her several times. When two neighbors emerged from their home, Brown shot them as well striking both of them. 24-year-old Sagar Ghimire was later pronounced deceased.
The other gunshot victim is recovering from his injuries. At some point during the course of events, Brown also set fire to his residence. Investigators later found several homemade destructive explosive devices in one of Brown’s two vehicles.
