RawNews1st – As Hurricane Ian moves closer to Florida, it’s pushing water out of bodies of water in the Tampa Bay area and toward the Gulf of Mexico.
Here is a photo of the receded water on John’s Pass, Bayshore Boulevard, the Hillsborough River and Lassing Park.
Hurricane‐force winds, 74 mph or more, can destroy buildings and mobile homes. Debris, such as signs, roofing material, siding and small items left outside become flying missiles during hurricanes.
Winds can stay above hurricane strength well inland.
