A man faces charges after footage emerges of a knife-wielding man being beaten to the ground with a shovel and metal pole in Melbourne.
The vision, filmed between Ballarat Rd and Station Rd in Deer Park on Sunday, shows a brawl between three people — reportedly a woman, her partner and her ex-boyfriend.
Witnesses were heard also screaming as the pair’s bloody scuffle continued on the suburban roadside.
Victoria Police said one man has been charged following the incident after he was transported to hospital under police guard.
The 59-year-old Caroline Springs man has been charged with multiple offences, including intentionally cause injury, unlawful assault, careless driving and threats to kill.
He was remanded to appear in Sunshine Magistrates Court on November 22.
