The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a Blue Alert for 32-year-old BJ Brown.What is a Blue Alert?
Brown is wanted by the Erin Police Department and TBI for Attempted First Degree Murder of a law enforcement officer.
Houston County Sheriffs report that multiple agencies are assisting in the search for the suspect who allegedly shot a police officer after a traffic stop on Monday.
He should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) says that when the officer pulled over the driver the man left his vehicle and approached the officer.
The officer told the driver to return to his vehicle but the driver instead fired a shot into the officer’s squad car.
The officer fired back and the man ran away into the woods, taking the gun he used with him.
The officer was hit by gunfire during the exchange and hurt. He was taken by helicopter to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
The city says that the suspect is a black male who was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue baseball cap.
TBI officials say that the shooting suspect hasn’t been found.
The TBI and police officers from several surrounding counties are involved in the search. Helicopters and K-9 officers are also involved.
As of 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Highway 13 northbound was reported closed and residents report seeing ‘military-style’ vehicles in the search area. Sheriff’s are warning to stay clear of the area.
