8/14/2021- 11:31 p.m.
On August 14, 2021, at approximately 2:11 am the Burlington Police Department responded to Club Mamba located at 2371 Corporation Parkway in regards to reports of a large crowd at the business.
While officers were on scene, they observed a fight between the following two females: • Aniah Tyshae Love, a 22-year-old female of Burlington, NC • Tkeyah Simone Harrelson, a 26-year-old female of Burlington, NC During the fight, Harrelson produced a knife and began to stab Love multiple times before retreating into the crowd. Sgt. Westmoreland quickly responded and began to assess and treat Love’s injuries.
At that time, Harrelson returned and began to stab Love again along with striking Sgt. Westmoreland in the process. Westmoreland then intervened and physically removed Harrelson from the victim and arrested her.
Love was transported to a regional hospital where she is undergoing emergency surgery and is listed in critical condition. Sgt. Westmoreland received minor injuries which did not require medical attention.
Harrelson was arrested and has been charged with the following charges:
• Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury • Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Government Official
