Bird Flu Wings into UK – “Rare” Human Case Detected in Southwest England
As if Omicron wasn’t enough, a deadly strain of rare bird flu has been detected in southwest England – but authorities claim there is “no evidence” the infection has spread to others.
The WHO have been notified as the UK has been struck by a spike in bird flu cases recently. Infectious disease experts insist the H5N1 virus in question rarely transmits to humans and doesn’t pose a significant risk.
