Biden signs into law new legislation to financially compensate 200 CIA, State Dept. victims of so-called “Havana Syndrome”
The Havana Act, authorized Sec. of State Blinken and CIA director Burns, to give financial aid to employees who have suffered neurological injuries the intel community has yet to figure out, launched by assailants it cannot yet identify — simply known as Havana Syndrome, The Hill reports.
Havana Syndrome involves a series of unexplained symptoms first experienced by US State Dept. personnel stationed in Cuba beginning in late 2016 and have since been reported in various countries across the globe — with some 200 personnel believed to have been affected.
