A man died from a shooting injury Thursday and several others were injured in overnight shootings, Baltimore police said.
A 23-year-old man was shot Tuesday in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. around 12:12 a.m. near New Islamic Baptist Church. He was taken to an area hospital after being found with a gunshot wound to the neck while sitting inside of a vehicle.Advertisement
Police said the man later succumbed to his injuries Thursday.
Four other men were injured in separate shootings early Friday.
At approximately 12:17 a.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting investigation. At approximately 12:45 a.m., Southeast District officers received a call for a victim who drove himself to an area hospital suffering from a gunshot.
Officers found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was in stable condition.Advertisement
Another 24-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his left thigh.
Preliminary investigation revealed that both men were in the 4400 block of Belair Rd. in the Arcadia neighborhood when the shooting happened, police said.
Just over an hour later, Western District officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Westwood Ave. near the Penn North and Easterwood neighborhood in West Baltimore for a shooting investigation.
Officers found a 39-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach. The man has non-life threatening injuries, police said.
