MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities in Tennessee said Tuesday that they’ve found a 7-month-old boy who was reported missing after his mother died Sunday.
Officials said they believed Braylen Clark might have been with his biological father, Barry Medlock, who is facing a second-degree murder charge.
The alert came one day after a woman who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound was left at Regional One Hospital and pronounced dead, Memphis police said Monday. Investigators later learned that the woman’s son, Clark, was missing, the news outlet reported.
Authorities said Clark was last seen with Medlock about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Amber Alert. The man is now wanted on a second-degree murder charge, police said.
The alert described Medlock as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound Black man with brown eyes and black hair. Clark, who is also Black, is about 27 inches long, weighs 18 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, the alert said.
