Authorities in Mississippi are investigating a crash involving a charter bus that was allegedly carrying several University of South Carolina students.
According to a spokesperson for the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3 p.m. on I-10 near mile marker 13 in Hancock County.
Officials said no other vehicles were involved in the crash. There were 11 people injured out of the 56 people on the bus.
Of those 11, nine were transported by ambulance and two by helicopter with serious injuries. One of the patients taken by air was the driver, who was ejected in the crash. The other was a student. This is a developing story.
