Austria & Netherlands on Verge of “Lockdown for Unvaccinated”
Austria’s chancellor could take action against what he’s described as a “powerful 4th wave” of Covid. Alexander Schallenberg last week tightened restrictions for public places requiring vaccination or recovery from infection.
Schallengberg said the country’s vaccination rate was “shamefully low,” adding, “We are days away from imposing a lockdown for unvaccinated people.”
In the Netherlands, the PM is considering canceling events and closing venues.
After a partial lockdown of around two weeks, the govt has advised only allowing fully vaccinated or those recovered from the virus to attend indoor, public spaces.
