COLUMBUS, Ohio — At least four people were shot and six were injured in a shooting in the parking lot of a Hilltop bar Saturday morning, police say.
The shooting happened at the Spotlight 2 Lounge Bar & Grill near West Mound Street and Reed Street around 2:10 a.m.
A Columbus police dispatcher told reporters that three victims were transported to hospitals and a fourth walked in on their own with gunshot wounds.
At least two others were injured, but the extent of their injuries is not clear.Police said patrons began exiting as the bar was closing.
An argument between two people in the parking lot escalated as a third person struck one of the two, knocking him to the ground.
Investigators said the person that was knocked to the ground then pulled out a handgun and fired “randomly” into the crowd.
Several others pulled out guns in response and began shooting as well.
Police did not give an estimate of how many shots were fired but said it was “numerous.”Ages of the victims range from 24 to 52.Police have not announced any arrests.
