Two homes belonging to Democratic legislators in Minnesota were the sites of reported shootings, resulting in at least three injuries.
One shooting occurred around 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the residence of State Senator John Hoffman in Champlin, where two individuals were shot. Another shooting took place a few miles south in Brooklyn Park, at the home of a state representative, resulting in at least one injury.
Brooklyn Park Police have issued an emergency alert and are searching for a suspect described as a white male with brown hair, wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants, who may be misrepresenting himself as law enforcement.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued within a 3-mile radius of the Edinburgh Golf Course.
The suspect remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately and should not approach the suspect.
